      Hoka Mach 6

Lively, and fine tuned for extra energy return with increased durability, the Hoka Mach 6 in White/Virtual Blue is your gateway to everyday speed. Itā€™s a lightweight, everyday training shoe that provides an up-tempo ride.

The Hoka Mach 6 uses a creel Jacquard upper with zonal breathability, an internal gusset, and a lower ankle collar. The improved speed focused detailing looks great, while the anatomical tongue construction improves long term comfort. The midsole shaping uses an early-stage meta-rocker, which means it turns up towards the toes further back along the shoe than most. This gives a smooth, aggressive transition from landing to toe-off.It is constructed with an upgraded, super-critical EVA foam, which is even lighter than before, bouncier, and more responsive underfoot.A strategic rubber outsole provides increased durability and traction for confidence in your footing that lasts run after run.

      Great running shoes

Although I am a long time runner, this is my first Hoka and it is well worth the money. Great bounce and cushion. I have worn it for ~100 miles so far and it is going great. Feels a bit squishy in the first couple of runs because of all the cushion until you get used to the feeling. A note on sizing - I usually wear Brooks Ghost size 11D (0.5 bigger than my regular size). The recommended size was 10.5 on the site while purchasing. Turns out that size was small, I could feel the toes sticking out during a 6 miler. I exchanged them for 11, and they are perfect. Done a couple of 20 milers in them without problem. I intend the wear them during a marathon in a few weeks.

      Mach 6 for the win

I'm a woman but I purchased these in men's because they don't make pink in women's wide and I know a men's regular is equivalent to women's wide. I wear size 11 women and can wear size 10 or 9.5 in men's, depending on the model. These seem to work well in size 10 for me as they run small. The width is perfect. I think these shoes could be good for everyday training and racing. They allow good ground contact without causing toe pain from my left great toe hallux rigidus. I was concerned they wouldn't be stable enough due to other comments but I find them to be quite stable. I count this shoe as a win!

I will be buying multiple pairs of this shoe

I mostly use this shoe for speed work and tempo runs. I was surprised reading any negative reviews about this shoe... it feels very very similar to the Mach 5. The only difference I was able to notice is it feels like they're built more durable to last a little longer than the Mach 5's did. I have the same size for the Mach 5 & Mach 6 and they both fit the same (straight out the box - I did not have to break them in for them to fit my foot). I love this shoe and hope others have the same experience as me. Only negative I can think of is there aren't more colors options for the wide variation.

      Mach 5 > Mach 6

I got the Mach 6's a couple days ago and have taken them out on 2 runs/workouts including an 11 mile walk. These are very firm for a Hoka and caused some serious shin pain that cut this mornings workout short. These aren't as soft or fun to run in as the Mach 5's and really lack that road feel. The new grip on them creates an unpleasant feel underfoot on long walks and isn't a positive for the shoe. On a run these are good for picking up the pace but feel very bland and unexciting overall. These are also a narrow shoe that feel very unstable underfoot so be conscious of that. They do look great and have good turnover when picking up the pace but that's where the positives end. A disappointing 6/10 type shoe for me.

An Abysmal Downgrade of a Decent Shoe

      Carlos

I have numerous pairs of the Mach 5, which is an extremely comfortable, if rather slow, trainer, with a nice wide platform and a reasonable stack height. The Mach 6 is absolutely AWFUL. Hoka has narrowed the toebox considerably to the point that it is incredibly painful for my normal width feet. And the cushioning is just weird. It's too thick and bouncy and it's all focused on the inside midfoot, to the point that works like a medial post. I would not call this a neutral running shoe. Hoka asks, "what is this shoe best for?" My answer: the trashcan.

Became favorite speed shoe after about 50 miles

I'm well over 100 miles on these shoes now but I fell in love with them around the 50 mile mark. I was previous racing in Saucony Endorphin Pros and decided it was time to try out something new and I am not at all disappointed. These feel like they have a lot more cushion but still have great bounce. I dont feel like I have any pronation during my run. The thing I like the most is when I pick up speed for that last mile or two to the finish like, it sometimes feels like Im a cartoon character taking big strides from cloud to cloud. I just love these!

      DO NOT BUY THIS SHOE

      Aiden

I bought a pair about 3 months ago at a running shoe store because they felt good on the treadmill and were at a good price. Upon first putting them on they initially felt better than any other shoe I'd tried. After a week of running about 4 miles a day, I started to have issues. The front is designed horribly and uses terrible materials. As a result, I've taken my socks off to find my toes bloody because of how bad they are. They might seem to have good energy return, but after some use you notice how little support they really give.

      Changed sizing

Listen, I love my Hokas. They feel great, yeah they wear out somewhat quickly, but they're more durable and comfortable than onclouds atleast. However nothing infuriates me more than when shoe companies don't have consistent sizing across the board. I own a pair of size 13 Hokas, I should be able to order another pair in the same size and not have to worry about them being too small. Width/tightness differences I can understand, but being too small is ridiculous. My other size 13s fit perfectly, so I ordered another pair and my toes hit the end! Ridiculous! Make your sizes consistent. It's such an inconvenience to not be able to rely on consistent sizes within a company. I shouldn't have a pair size 13s and 14s from the same company that fit the same.

Causing frustration with our sizing was never our intention. As our different styles are made with different materials and designs, sometimes the fit of styles may differ. We greatly appreciate your feedback and this information has been passed along to our team. We hope you continue to find comfort and confidence in your HOKAs!
