Founded by William J. Riley in 1906, New Balance started small, producing highly flexible, three-point arch supports for those that suffered discomfort wearing shoes, all inspired by the daily balancing acts performed by Williams’ own backyard chickens as they nimbly navigated the coop. Chasing supportive, innovative comfort from the moment it was born over a century ago, New Balance would become a sporting shoe manufacturer of import among both athletes and basketballers, loved for its specialist footwear.
Rolling on to 1972, under new owner Jim Davis, New Balance foresaw a shift in the market. Hoping to ride the wave of casual style and streetwear, they began a push for leisure time products and comfy, all-day pieces that would eventually be sought-after from coast to coast and beyond, all renowned for their quality and comfort. The shoes are very nice and comfortable. I give them 4 stars because the lining on the inside of the shoes or the stitching, gives a little bit of an uncomfortable feel when walking. So, I trimmed some of the fabric from the side of the inside of the shoes to make it a little more comfortable for my liking. But overall, the shoes are great. I just think the craft of this specific pair was a little messy on the inside of the shoes. But I highly recommend purchasing a pair of these shoes.

Literally bought them because the silhouette of the design was so aesthetically appealing— but the comfort stole the show! A majority of New Balances are comfortable, but these are on another level not to mention they’re so cute and easy to style. I’ve been trying to shoes that are more versatile for my style, and this pair works perfectly especially with the hint of red in the N logo and midsole. Tempted to order the blue pair as well! Definitely in my top favorite NB designs.

Such a comfortable and attractive shoe. Great fit and true to size. I wear a size 11 shoes normally but a 12 in sneakers and the 12 fits live a glove. Good stability and arch support too. Would definitely purchase this shoe again. They also look really cool with silver or platinum colored leggings in the city. The silver and gold in the shoe are totally trending! Also love the new style shoelaces as they do not come undone while walking.

Love these! These are comfortable and stylish. I got a couple compliments. I was looking for a shoe I could wear to boot camp style classes as well as to wear casually for walking / airport. I bought my normal size 8 and they are true to size. I have narrow feet but feel like they would be great for wide feet as I have to pull the laces rather tight. I had plantar fasciitis and it seems to be doing a lot better now that I’m wearing these.

I'm not sure whats happened to New Balance over the last couple years. The styling on these is killer, on par with some of the best speakers out there right now, but as a 240 lb person, the foam is not it. Fresh Foam used to be killer. Its like the changed the ingredients a couple years ago and it hasn't been the same. The shoes themselves are so thin. The stitching is nice but besides that the quality seems lacking

I was soooo skeptical about ordering due to me having wide feet not knowing if they ran narrow or not but i read some reviews of people recommending going a half size up if you are wide footed and I’m glad I did because they are so comfortable, not narrow fitting at all. I Normally wear a size 8.5 but got a 9 instead, good choice! Fit perfectly. Definitely recommend going up a half size if you’re wide footed!

When I say these shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn I mean it. I usually have to break a shoe in before it’s comfortable but the moment I put them on, instant comfort. I needed them to walk around for vacation (walking thru the airport and then universal studios) and they did not disappoint. They are now my regular walking shoes and I will be ordering more just a different color
