Founded by William J. Riley in 1906, New Balance started small, producing highly flexible, three-point arch supports for those that suffered discomfort wearing shoes, all inspired by the daily balancing acts performed by Williams’ own backyard chickens as they nimbly navigated the coop. Rolling on to 1972, under new owner Jim Davis, New Balance foresaw a shift in the market. I bought these shoes to wear as sneakers for running errands and looking cute. They are awesome. They are much lighter than I would have expected. I am generally a 6 to 6.5 in sneakers and running shoes. The 6 was perfect. I tried the 5.5 based on reviews indicating that the shoes run large. I felt that the sneakers run true to size but may seem a tad large as they'd fit a high-volume foot well. I do not have a high-volume foot but wear a slightly thicker footy sock to make up for the lack of volume. The 5.5 was too short and fit like most 5.5 sneakers on me. These shoes fit me like the 327s. They also make my legs look good with shorts.

I work as a nurse so I’m on my feet a lot at work. That being said, I need a really comfortable shoe that I can wear for at least 12 hours. I thought these were cute and the reviews were really good so I bought them. I wore them around my place to try to break them in a little. The first night I wore them to work my feet started feeling uncomfortable not too far into my shift. By the end of my shift my feet, back, hips, and legs were hurting. I have never experienced this much discomfort with other shoes I’ve wore to work. Unfortunately I can’t return them because I threw out the box and already wore them. I wish I had never wasted money on these.

El diseño es muy bonito, tengo unos 3 meses usándolos. Los primeros días me causó una incomodidad leve la cual creí que con el pasar de los días, pero no por el contrario me causó un dolor increíble en los pies, dejé de usarlos unos días por que ni me podía ponerme zapatos por el dolor, pasó un tiempo cambié el calzado, mejoré. Y hace unos días atrás decidí darles una segunda oportunidad pero increíblemente 3 horas después no soportaba la molestia en mis pies. El diseño el lindo, me encanta pero en relación a la comodidad no. Si los quieres para ir a trabajar o vas a pasar horas de pie y caminando estos no son lo mejor para ti.

This is the quintessential trainer that goes with everything. I am a 7 women’s in ASICS, 7 in Reebok and a 7.5 in Brooks. I heard these run large, so I debated if I should size down to 6.5… I did not I stuck with my normal size 7. While there is a little extra room in the toe box, it works everywhere else! It may have been too snug with the 6.5. I love these shoes for everyday casual, dress, and athleisure wear. Ironically, I would never run in these as they do not offer the cushioning and support for running imo. I foresee myself repurchasing this shoe again and again for its versatility and style.

So comfortable and stylish! I got these for work because I stand a lot and have to be on my feet for the majority of my shift. First day I got them I didn’t have an uncomfortable breaking in period. They felt like I had been wearing them forever. I did order my usual size which is 7 and they do feel just a tad big but I’m fine with that because I’d rather have a shoe slightly bigger than too small and it gives me the right amount of of toe space. They’re perfect for walking or if you just want a sneaker that you can wear anywhere. The quality is evident and my feet feel so good in these sneakers. The only thing I’d add is if you prefer a snug fit go half a size down if possible.

Overall cute shoe. Definitely a great dad sneaker. The color is a very warm neutral which I like as a softer alternative to the classic white/grey/navy. The unisex sizing works pretty well but they run wide compared to women's shoes. I recommend trying some on in a store before purchasing. I was unimpressed with the insole. It's very thin and very flat. These are definitely street sneakers and NOT trainers. I bought them for work in a hospital and had to put it different insole inserts, which is ok but a bummer for a brand that makes great cushioned running shoes. I feel like they skimped on quality a bit. Also the uppers are very stiff/plasticy so wondering how these will actually hold up.

Bought these shoes for my daughter who started a job that will require her to be on her feet all day. Before purchasing these shoes, she tried working in another brand of shoes that were supposed to Be good for the line of work she does. They did not. She came home with her back and legs hurting terribly. As soon as she started wearing these shoes, The pain and discomfort she was experiencing improved about 95%, given the fact that you’re going to experience at least a tiny bit of fatigue and soreness due to being on your feet all day. A plus is that they are really cute so I would definitely recommend these shoes to anyone that is needing good support and wanting something that looks attractive as well.

Heel wore out in under a week

I wanted to love these so so so bad. They are so cute and have such great potential. I got these for a trip and I’m under one week the inner heels already have substantial holes in them and they have been turning the heel of any sock I wear with them blue (the color of the inside) the comfort is definitely there in the base but to have them wear down in the heel under 5 wears? That seems like such a bad flaw really ruins the shoe for me. Super disappointed because these has such potential to be an everyday shoe for me, and now I feel I’ve wasted my money.
