Ground Type Guide
Selecting the correct sole plate for the surface you are playing on is crucial, not only for the performance and longevity of your football boots, but also to avoid the risk of injury.
Using an outsole that isn't designed specifically for the surface on which you are playing may cause premature wear and/or damage that will not be deemed as a fault of manufacture and will prevent the retailer accepting them for a refund or exchange.
Firm Ground
Boots with Firm Ground soleplates are only to be used on natural short-grass surfaces that is firm underfoot but may be slightly wet.
Designed specifically for this playing surface, they offer acceleration, comfort and enhanced traction, dispersing stud pressure evenly across the foot.
FG soleplates are fixed (not removable) and are used worldwide; wetter countries tend to use them spring to autumn.
FG boots are not to be used on artificial ground (AG) surfaces as the construction is not designed for the extra friction.
FG boots used on AG surfaces will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.

Ordered the wide version but they aren't very wide like the last version of these(which I loved). To be honest I think the wrong version was put in my box.. not sure if there is a way to tell from the actual cleat if it's wide version or not. Everything else is top of the line! Love the heel lock pads, padding is great in the k-leather and I can feel the studs stick and plant when I cut but you don't get stuck. I'll keep trying to stretch them out at the toe box especially around the big toe, but after a month of wearing them pretty much 6 days a week they still are a little tight.

I recently purchased these pair of soccer cleats for my son , and while I was initially impressed with how well they fit him, I was ultimately disappointed with their durability. The cleats felt great to him, providing excellent support and comfort during play. However, after just a few weeks of use, I noticed significant wear and tear. The outsole began to show signs of deterioration which was frustrating given the quality I expected.
It suck when a product that fits so well doesn’t hold up over time. While I loved the feel and performance of the cleats on the field, their quick wear made it hard to recommend them. If you prioritize comfort and fit, these cleats might suit you, but be prepared for potential issues with durability.

I gave these a shot because I read a few reviews of how nice the leather is for the price. After trying them on, I really don't believe they used any k-leather as it stiff and thin. It's not the kind of leather that I would expect to mold to feet very well, very plastic like. Pretty much every other k-leather boot on the market is better. For sizing, I'm a 12 on a brannock and 11.5 fit best in these, wide in the heel and narrow in the toe, sloppy fit. Good value for a youth players first pair of cleats but I wouldn't wear them in a competitive match.

My son has wide feet and NB shoes are the only ones that fit well and allow him to play comfortably. He's a competitive player, so good quality, good fitting cleats are essential. Had a bit of a scare when it became hard to find these wide versions, so now I am sure to buy a back up pair just in case. They might not be the flashiest (although the design has become cooler over the last few iterations according to my son), but they are the best fitting. We recommend them to anyone who wants a solid performing shoe.

Expect about a week of break-in time. I did get some blistering around my Achilles, expected with any new boot; I recommend using the heel lock on the laces to minimize. Compared to the Copa Mundial they aren't as comfortable but only slightly less. Best modern boot I've tried, looks fantastic and they are really lite for leather. Would recommend and buy again. I wanted something more modern than the Mundials. I have a wide foot and was shopping around for a while before I landed on these.

Best soccer cleats for wide feet. Only shoe that is comfortable for my kiddo. We’ve used these for two seasons, this is our second pair. We tried them based on a recommendation a friend made. His kid had the same problem, soccer cleats were too narrow. My kid’s feet aren’t terribly wide, but nothing worked. This shoe in WIDE is great. I won’t ever buy another shoe for my kid. Not all soccer players have skinny feet, so thankful New Balance recognizes that.

Great defender boot. Have had Mercurial and Icons but these are much lighter, less bulky but still have good structure while being accomodating to people without super skinny feet like most boots.
So great so have a leather boot. Hope they continue to evolve this boot.
Love the conical studs, just wish they were a touch longer.
Also the 'N" is just a touch too large on a common use part of the boot. Maybe if it was made from a grip material.

I have several pairs of top end boots and have always had a high end leather cleat in my rotation. They are my go-to style. The 442 V2 Pro's have very nice leather with a solid stud platform, wrapped up in a light package. The comparable boots on the market are more than double the price. The only gripe I have is that I purchased a normal width pair and few they are still wider than most standard width boots.
