      Nike Legend IV Elite FG

Attack with poise and precision wearing Nike Tiempo Legend IX Elite FG football boots in White/Black/Bright Crimson/Pink Blast, featuring a lightweight design that’s built for fast, accurate play.

Equipped with a streamlined upper and a re-engineered soleplate, the Tiempo Legend IX Elite is one of the lightest Tiempos ever.

Its refined construction focuses on touch and technique, with foam pods under the plush K-leather upper combining with stitchless texturing to provide just the right amount of cushioning for accurate dribbling and ball striking.

The next-level comfort you expect from the Tiempo is further enhanced thanks to an adaptive mesh tongue, while the significantly lighter soleplate gives a more agile feel as you make quick cuts and turns.

For stability, ever-reliable NikeGrip technology on the insole keeps your foot securely in place so you’re always in control.

      Nike

One of the most iconic boot manufacturers across both football and rugby, Nike are famed for their combination of performance materials and modern, stylish aesthetics. Their wide range of silos offers plenty of options for different positions, styles of play, and foot shapes, so you can always find a specialised fit for your specific needs.

Worn by lightning-fast wingers like Jonny May and Josh Adams, the Mercurial features a lightweight construction and snug fit that enhances acceleration and helps you to burst past onrushing defenders.

The Tiempo combines a robust build with embossed ridges on the upper, making them perfect for kickers like England’s record point scorer, Owen Farrell, and players who regularly find themselves in the heat of battle, such as legendary Wales No.8 Taulupe Faletau.

The Nike Phantom – favoured by Jack Nowell and Ireland star Bundee Aki – uses a unique soleplate that gives players that extra bit of agility needed to make quick cuts and weave through traffic in the centre of the pitch.

Finally, the Nike Premier range is the choice for old-school players like Billy Vunipola who are looking for a combination of classic aesthetics and modern technology.

      Ground Type Guide

Selecting the correct sole plate for the surface you are playing on is crucial, not only for the performance and longevity of your football boots, but also to avoid the risk of injury.

Using an outsole that isn't designed specifically for the surface on which you are playing may cause premature wear and/or damage that will not be deemed as a fault of manufacture and will prevent the retailer accepting them for a refund or exchange.

      Firm Ground

Boots with Firm Ground soleplates are only to be used on natural short-grass surfaces that is firm underfoot but may be slightly wet.

Designed specifically for this playing surface, they offer acceleration, comfort and enhanced traction, dispersing stud pressure evenly across the foot.

FG soleplates are fixed (not removable) and are used worldwide; wetter countries tend to use them spring to autumn.

FG boots are not to be used on artificial ground (AG) surfaces as the construction is not designed for the extra friction.

FG boots used on AG surfaces will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.

Super comfortable, but durability could be better

My son loves these cleats, says they are the most comfortable he has worn - much prefers them over the copa sense+ and the predator freak+, even with the laces. Only issue is that after about 9 months, the stitching that keeps together the upper, sock portion, and inner lining has started to come away (both sides), and the inner lining appears to be torn where all three pieces meet. 9 months represents about 40+ games and twice as many practices, so not terrible wear by any means, but for the price it would be nice if they could last at least a year (he's 16 and still growing so after a year we'd be replacing them anyway).

      The last great Tiempo

Very disappointing the direction they decided to take with the tiempo going to synthetic. These Tiempo Legend 9s will go down as the last great tiempo. I was very lucky that they restocked in my size recently so I had to stock up. The cleats fit wonderfully around the feet and have a very secure lockdown feel. For sizing, they run true to size in length, but in the width it could be tricky for wide feet. I think they’ll adapt with time to your instep but they’ll definitely feel very snug at first. I will no longer buy a tiempo until they return back to leather uppers!

Great Cleats But Didn't Last Long

I had an older version of Tiempo, they were comfortable and lasted about 2 years, that's why when I saw this new version I didn't hesitate to make the purchase right away. The cleats were perfectly fitted and they were comfortable. However, after playing with these cleats for less than 2 months (about 10 times since I played 1-2 times a week), I noticed at the front of the shoes that the edge between the plastic and the leather start to break and the plastic is beginning to peel away from the leather. I am very disappointed because the cleats are very comfortable and I love to play with them, but they only last about 10 games. This is something definitely that need to keep an eye on if you are considering purchasing the cleats.

Quality is very bad... I purchased this one month ago and even not played one time. The hole for the lace was broken already ! The shoe is ok. My last premier 3 has same problem, the hole was broken after a few game. then got a new premier 3, the leather was torn off at several places after 3 months... I love Nike soccer cleat and only wear Nike, but the quality is worse and worse. My previous Nike can last a few years... Not sure which one I should buy next . Nike should improve the quality .

These are incredible. Super light and comfortable right out the box. I have wide feet and these were a perfect fit (but not too wide). The traction and feel on the ball is second to none. I have worn a lot of high end boots and these are by far the best. The K leather also shapes to your foot almost immediately. If you’re a fan of the 2000 era uppers then you’ll love these. They also look amazing on. I can legitimately say I struck the ball better in these boots. Strongly recommend!

Not great compared Tiempo Legend 7 Elite

I ordered these on May 2nd and have tried my best to like them but just can't, I hate the tongue, it's way too tight, they have a lot more space in the toe box then my Tiempo 7's even though I ordered the same size. I also cannot feel the ball at all due to the padding all over the boot. They are very soft but I just can't like them. I gave them 3 stars as it seems most people like them and they are nice cleats just some things I personally don't like.

      Comfortable, but narrow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a soccer coach for 2 U15 Boys teams, I need a pair of cleats that are comfortable and can take a beating -- it's a tough job to keep up with 30+ middle school and high school boys! The Nike Tiempo Legend 9 Elite FG has held up to wet and muddy fields, warm-ups, drills, and long scrimmages. The stitching is still tight after "breaking in" the cleat. The inner stretch tongue kept them in place and the laces held through each practice. The only design element I would change is how narrow it gets through the top of the foot. I wear regular shoes, but these were very tight over the toes. My kids both have very narrow feet and they love Nike cleats for this very reason. Overall, the quality of the material was high and the amount of padding was very comfortable, making it a great option for those who need their cleat to hold up to rigorous use.

Great Cleats but durability was a let down.

I really enjoy these cleats and breaking them in is perhaps the least painless experience (especially compared to synthetic cleats. I had the 2019 version of tiempo, which lasted about two years and then the plastic on the front of the shoe began peeling away from the leather which is why I updated to this years version. I was pleased with the shoes however after 1 or 2 months of playing 2-3 times a week I noticed the white on the front of the shoe is coming off and the plastic is beginning to peel away from the leather. Like I mentioned earlier this was precisely the thing that forced me to update from my previously owned tiempos, however my previous pair lasted 2 years and these barely made it 2 months. I very much enjoy the cleats and the touch on the ball is great, which is why I am so bummed this shoe is prematurely coming apart for me.
