[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mercurial Light pads are a real step up in terms of being protected with minimal weight/bulk.
First impressions out of the bag were the striking pink colourway and the contoured lines of the pad, designed to flow with the curvature of the shin, very ergonomic design.
I like the textured backing, allowing for proper ventilation through wearing shin guards (I have had problems with this in previous other branded shin pads)
After a few minutes of running around I could barely notice them due to their lightweight construction and had the “pleasure” of wearing them during a bitterly challenged derby match where I was on the receiving end of some strong tackles, pads held up well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Speaking to my 9 year old, she thinks these shin pads are comfy and good.
She has had other items in the past that have been too tight around the legs but these shin protectors fit well. The socks that it comes with are stretchy and not too tight around her legs.
They stay in place when running around so there's no issue there, it's peace of mind for protection.
Both she and I love the colour style it's a nice bright pink with a yellow highlight.
They are tough and rugged but comfortable and she has no complaints, only the opposite.

The fitting of the guards are very good and they are very solid as I have made contact with other players a number of times. Would definitely recommend to purchase these shin guards to others and use them on a daily basis.

The foam on the inside of the these guards needs to be flat: it is a honeycomb texture and leaves unpleasant marks on the shin, because the sleeve is very tight. Impact protection is good, but these aren't comfortable to wear.
